Easter between Lockhart and LaGrange,TX

Beautiful weather and great flowers, smaller hills so I should have been golden. I just seem to run out of steam around the first sag. I made the decision to continue to the second sag and almost didn't make the 43 miles. Good news is I was able to take a lot of pictures of this very pretty area as I was being driven to camp by chandelier. Good Ham dinner tonight and nice park with a pool where I sat this afternoon .
Saw my first Long horn today and they are magnificent animals up close. People are tired and nerves a little raw. 3 weeks and a day left but whose counting . Got lots of pix from Marna and Lou of the Easter/birthday festivities this weekend which made me happy and sad. Sure miss everyone. 90 miles tomorrow . Hope to get an early start before it gets too hot. Then we lay over in Anderson, TX.

  2. Hi Marge,
I have actually been to LaGrange.... rather a nice small town. Fun music venue and good restaurant. You have moved on. The hill country is a pretty part of Texas, but there are those hills.....
    Think of you often!

  3. Hi Marge,

I am sure everyone is tired by now. Not surprised that nerves are raw. Maybe a day off in TX will help. Hang in there ... the Baltimore contingent talks about your amazing journey all the time ... we, too, are rooting for you. 3 weeks ... yahoo! Go ahead and count the days ... whatever it takes to get you back East. You can do it!!!

    Love you,

    Pat
